December 9 marks the International Human Rights Defenders Day, which we had planned to celebrate for the seventh time in Georgia.

However, this year we have chosen to join the ongoing protest and cancel the event. In doing so, we express our solidarity with those who are protesting against the change in Georgia’s foreign policy imposed by the illegitimate ruling power, the violation of the Constitution, and the rejection of building a state grounded in human rights.

Human rights work is a peaceful, persistent, and vocal struggle to create a society where every individual—regardless of gender, religion, sexual orientation, or political beliefs—can live in a just, equal, and free environment.

Today, tens of thousands of people in the streets of Georgia, including Nata, Eto, Mariam, and Ana, are standing as human rights defenders, fighting for a future based on European values, tragically at the expense of their health and lives. This video is dedicated to them.
