The overall objective of the project is to foster the resilience and sustainability of civil society in six eastern partnership countries, including Georgia, as well as to mitigate the immediate and long-term impacts of Covid-19. The project strengthens civil society in several areas, providing emergency grants, psychosocial and legal support, technical support grants to strengthen CSOs digitalization, capacity development, core support to independent media, media campaign, advocacy, and awareness-raising.
The project will run for four years from July 2020 until June 2024 and will achieve the following objectives:
CSOs build their sustainability and resilience to the effects of the COVID-19 crisis.
CSOs are better skilled and equipped to continue supporting their beneficiaries and protecting vulnerable communities.
CSOs and media counter disinformation and fake news and promote access to reliable information on the pandemic and its impact on communities.
